Description
Vision Miner’s Nano Polymer Adhesive offers unparalleled bed adhesion across a myriad of bed surfaces with virtually all 3D printing filaments available on the market.
If you have encountered even the slightest problems with your prints not sticking to your 3D printing surface at all, chances are Nano Polymer Adhesive can and will help.
Initially designed for Ultem, PPSU, PEEK and other high performance, engineering grade FDM 3D printing filaments – it’s also been tested with:
- Nylon
- ABS
- PLA
- PETG
- PEI
- PSU
Has also been tested to work across the following build surfaces:
- borosillicate glass
- ceramic glass
- PCB board
- FR4 / Garolite
- Carbon fibre
- Fiberglass
- Aluminium
- Buildtak
- PEI
- Kapton tape
…and more.
If the variety of compatible materials and build surfaces were not enough, each application of Nano Polymer Adhesive will be sufficient for multiple prints.
Depending on how generous your coating on the build surface and the material you are printing with, you will be able to get anywhere from several prints all the way upto 50 consecutive prints before needing to reapply.
How to use Nano Polymer Adhesive:
When printing below 300c:
In most cases, prints can be removed from the plate as soon as the printing surface has cooled. Materials like PLA and PETG will usually release off the plate on their own. However if they are stuck to the printing surface, water can be used around the base of the part to assist with release.
Ensure that you first layer is sufficiently calibrated as excessively squished first layers in ABS and PETG can and sometimes will break and chip glass printing surfaces.
When printing above 300c:
Remove parts as quickly as possible while the printing surface is still HOT. Materials printed at high temperatures contract extremely quickly as they cool down and can shatter glass printing surfaces in less than 30 seconds.
Additional information regarding when printing with ABS and PETG on glass:
ABS contracts very quickly when it cools – this significantly increases the risk of the printed material damaging glass when printing with ABS filaments. Vision Miner recommends Kapton Tape, PEI, or some other type of protective surface on top of glass when printing ABS.
Ensure your first layer is PERFECT — if it is too close, you risk breaking your glass. This is a well documented occurence in the community and Unique Prints and/or Vision Miner will not be held responsible for your broken build plates, especially when your first layer is smashed into the plate. Many people have set an extra-close z-offset to stick their filament to the bed – this is not necessary with Nano Polymer Adhesive.
Make sure your bed is levelled. High-temp materials must be removed extremely quickly. High Performance Polymers cool faster than glass, which can cause chipping. Prevent this by removing parts quickly. Again, this has nothing to do with the glue that is being used to secure your prints to the printing surface.
