The Milo Mill 1.5 desktop cnc mill is based on the OpenBuilds MiniMill. Is is an open-source project for DIYers to create a reliable, low cost and powerful desktop CNC mill on their own terms. The mill is designed to have the ability to cut aluminium but is also capable of cutting a vast range of softer materials such as composites, woods and plastics.

What’s Included:

All hardware and wiring needed to build a working mill along with numerous upgrades recommended by the Milo team.

A detailed bill of materials will be added as soon as released by LDO.

LDO kit features:

• Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Mod – This mod adds two CNC machined aluminium plates which increases the rigidity of main column.
• F.I.X.A.T.E.D – LDO kit includes the a fixture plate from the FIXATED mod that covers the entire work surface. The version included is the “Continental Breakfast”
• Long John Toolsetter – Our kit includes a modified version of the Long John Toolsetter mod. The mod allows for easy tool height setting.
• Brass Heatset Insert Tool – We’ve included custom machined brass tips for your soldering iron, use it to install heatset inserts with ease! Check here for more information.
• Pre-cut & Pre-wired – LDO kit includes all necessary wiring: cut to the right length and pre-crimped or soldered to their respective parts. LDO wiring guide located here.

What’s not included:

• Printed parts
• Workholding / vice

Updated as of 20/3/2024 – Delayed due to fixing bugs from initial batch. Due to ship out from LDO mid April and arrive at resellers Mid May.
